My story
My name is Kateryna (Katya) Sliunko. I’m a life coach, a partner, a cat mom, and a marketing professional. I’m also a Ukrainian Canadian, a violinist, a nature lover, a highly sensitive person (HSP), and someone living with ADHD. Here is my story.
I went through a divorce after five years of marriage. Over the next four years, I lived on my own—single, dating casually, realizing I needed to do a lot of inner work, being scared of repeating past patterns. I re-examined my choices, moved through cycles of blame and self-forgiveness, and made the decision not to have children. I learned how to build boundaries and recognize my own needs, supported by ongoing therapy, joined women circle.
It wasn’t a straight path. At times, it felt uncertain and even frightening, not knowing what was around the next corner. I came to understand that I had been living as though life was happening to me—and that I needed to take responsibility for my own well-being.
Then I met my current partner—my love. Suddenly, everything that came before made sense. That winding road led me here, and I wouldn’t change a thing. Today, I feel a sense of excitement and openness about what lies ahead.
Life is never a straight line. It twists and turns, and no one is exempt. The decisions we made in the past made seince for who we were then. Now, we have the opportunity to choose based on who we want to become.
With love,
Katya
